Monitoring via the Internet

Internet-based monitoring requires an interface box to be installed between your alarm system and router, with a cable connection to the router. 

  • If your router isn’t on a UPS (uninterruptible power supply), a power cut or tampering by an intruder could disable the monitoring.
  • This method is also vulnerable to accidental disconnection if someone unplugs the alarm from the router.

Cellular Monitoring

Cellular monitoring uses a conversion box to transmit your alarm’s signals via your chosen cellular provider’s network to the monitoring station.

  • Traditionally used as a backup for PSTN monitoring.
  • The conversion box comes at an additional cost.
  • Users need to keep the SIM card topped up to maintain service.

Radio Monitoring

A Radio Monitoring unit is powered directly by your alarm system, ensuring it stays operational even during a power outage. It operates independently of phone lines, broadband, or third-party devices, providing unmatched reliability and peace of mind.

  • Ideal for high-end, high-risk situations or areas without traditional phone lines.
  • One-off setup fee: $295 + GST (includes installation of our intelligent radio unit).
  • Can be configured as a dual path backup to PSTN monitoring.
  • Allows you to arm/disarm your alarm using our free monitoring app.
